FAIRFAX FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH WELCOMES YOU
WHO WE ARE
We are a family oriented Baptist Church in Valley, Alabama. Fairfax FBC seeks to share the love of Christ with one another and with our community. We boldly strive to live by the greatest commandment - to love God with all our being. This encourages us to love our neighbor as ourselves.
Founded in 1935, we stand upon the work of faithful generations as we work towards Kingdom growth that brings glory to God.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”
Revelation 4:11 (NASB)
We are created to worship God. This is central to all we do at Fairfax FBC. Currently, we are worshiping under the trees on the Fairfax FBC grounds. You may also watch our Facebook Live stream. Please join us Sundays at 11 AM EDT and Wednesdays (live stream only) at 6:30 PM EDT.
Covid - 19 has hampered our ability of reaching out to our community. However, we seek to meet the needs of those in our church field and beyond as they are brought to our attention.
As Covid - 19 gets under control, we will be out seeing our neighbors and getting to know them so we might better serve them.
Being commissioned by Jesus to make disciples. Too many people are making decisions for Christ, but have no guidance on what that means in their daily lives. We seek to help people Think, Act and Be like Jesus.
This begins with our growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior everyday.
We can only help others become more Christlike if that is our goal in life.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
